Aspire's Beautiful Children Fashion Show
The sixth annual Aspire’s Beautiful Children Fashion Show, which took place on October 4th, was a tremendous success. More than 330 guests celebrated the amazing strides that children with developmental disabilities can take, with the support of family, friends and caring professionals. The support of our guests helps Aspire Children’s Services to provide a wide array of pediatric therapies, specializes services and family supports.
The Fashion Show featured Aspire Children’s Services participants and alumni modeling fall fashions from Duck, Duck Goose, the Disney Store, Hanna Andersson, Kohl's in Elmhurst and My Sister Kate. For the fourth consecutive year, Lisa Parker, consumer reporter for NBC5 News, added unmatchable grace and personality as Master of Ceremonies.
The event featured the “Big Ticket Raffle” which included tickets to The Oprah Winfrey Show, a weekend theater package including tickets to the Broadway smash hit Wicked and an overnight stay at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, a hand crafted cherry wood child's work station, made by master carpenter Art Bishop and more. The event also featured a Shopping Spree Raffle and a silent auction of more than 100 gift packages.
The Sixth Annual Aspire’s Beautiful Children Fashion Show raised more than $37,000, which will support the therapies and specialized services that each year help more than 500 children with developmental disabilities reach their unique potential.
