A Playdate with Therapy Dogs at Aspire Children’s Services
Therapy Dogs International’s Suzie Miller brought her family pet and certified therapy dog, Cubs, to Aspire Children’s Services recently to have a Playdate with Aspire families as part of Aspire’s Family Enrichment Program. Parents and children learned the story about how Cubs became a therapy dog, the type of work he does, and why the work that therapy animals perform can be so beneficial. Families also learned that Cubs’ favorite color is forest green and his favorite toy is the occasional stick that children bring to him when he visits the park near his home.
